What is Reglan?

Reglan is intended to be used as short-term treatment of heartburn caused by gastroesophageal reflux.
Reglan is often used to provide relief to individuals who have tried other heartburn relief medications with little or no success in relieving symptoms. Reglan is also used to treat slow gastric emptying in diabetic patients. Reglan works by increasing muscle contractions in the upper digestive tract, which in turn increases rate at which the stomach empties into the small intestine.
